School Musicals

Saint Benedict Catholic School offers unique music opportunities that include school musicals, the SBCS Performance Choir,  and  Choral and Solo singing for SBCS school Masses.

    Two school musical opportunities exist.  One for the  entire school, and the second for middle school students.  These occasions allow for solo and group performances that include choreography.  They also reinforce the skills of memorization, cooperation,  public speaking, listening, and following directions.

    The SBCS Performance Choir, for students in grades 3-8, gives children who love singing the opportunity to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ through song.  This group sings for school functions, civic groups churches and anyone else who will listen.  They also sing for specified school Masses.

    Finally, Catholic hymns, songs and musical responses are learned during the weekly SBCS School Masses.  Individual and groups have the chance to lead others as cantors.  This valuable skill can be carried into adulthood and shared with others wherever they may live.
