Technology
Technological literacy is an essential quality for all people who live in the increasingly technology driven 21st century. For that reason, technological education at Saint Benedict Catholic School includes learning about not only computers, but also Ipads and other modern technologies utilized in the world today.
Through hands on, interactive, multi-disciplinary learning students explore curriculum that aligns with the Alabama State Standards for Technological Education and meets cross-curricular goals in the content areas as well. Technological standards addressed include instruction in Operations and Concepts, Digital Citizenship, Research and Information Fluency, Communication and Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving and Decision Making, and Creativity and Innovation. Curriculum builds from each succeeding grade promoting a progression of skills development.
